The index is divided into nine topics - institutions, infrastructure, macroeconomic environment, human capital, business environment, international trade, technology and innovation, labor market and inequality. The Index contains 157 quantitative variables, measured over time. The Index is intended to enable the public and decision-makers to examine the Israeli economy with clear and objective quantitative tools - and to set measurable goals in order to solve the fundamental problems preventing a prosperous and competitive economy.
