Carmel received a B.A in Economics and Social Work from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Public Policy from the Hebrew University Honors Program. Her M.A. thesis, written under the supervision of Prof. Michel Strawczynski, focused on corporate taxation policy and an article based on her thesis was recently accepted for publication.
Carmel previously worked as a researcher for the Chief Economist at the Israel Ministry of Finance,where she investigated the implications of indirect taxation. She was one of the authors of the State Revenue Report.
